One of the major advantages of the measurement with our patented leaking detection technologies is that the sealing constructions do not have to be emptied or cleaned and can be carried out regardless of the construction material.
Natural and artificial groundwater flows of unknown origin and depth through concrete and steel constructions will be accurately located independently of their depth.
Our measuring sensors can be placed either directly at ground level or into the water.

HOW IT WORKS
ACCURATE AND RELIABLE
LEAK DETECTION ON SURFACE OR UNDER WATER
Leakages in horizontal and vertical sealing systems can be detected accurately and reliably with our FGM® leak detection technology.
The measurements are carried out non-destructively on the surface or underwater.
Leakages are localized on the basis of potential differences that are registered in a fixed measuring grid with sensors. The measurement grid can vary from half a meter to about twenty meters, depending on the purpose, accuracy, etc.
The sensors are placed directly on the ground and are connected by a cable to the measuring units.
Prior to an investigation (and for determining the cause of the leak) all available information about the object to be investigated should be made available. This includes drawings of the building/construction, information about the lithology, information about previous (repair) work carried out, photographs and consultations with the client, etc.
The duration of a leak detection depends on the size, surface area and/or length of the investigated area. The client receives a clear overview drawing accompanied by an extensive report. If desired, the results are presented to the client and explained in detail.

Quality controls of horizontal and vertical waterproofing systems immediately upon completion of the construction works minimize the risk of high sanitation costs due to re-mobilizing the equipment to the building site. Acceptance and commissioning of the building stay on schedule. Moreover, the success of sanitation works can be controlled continuously.
The sanitation and grouting of the defective areas can be done immediately during the construction phase, thus reducing our customers’ costs considerably.

FGM® LEAK DETECTION TECHNOLOGY
The FGM® (Flexible Groundwater Monitoring) is an electrical multi sensor technology to investigate groundwater movement in the sub-surface and detecting leaks in sealing systems.We use this technology for surveying large areas with complex constructions.
It is a perfect method to detect ground water streaming through leaks in vertical and horizontal concrete or steel constructions, specially in very deep buildings for metro and tunnels without depth limit.
In addition to our self developed FGM® technology, we use traditional geophysical measuring techniques like radar (GPR), electrical resistivity tomography (ERT), and microgravity to investigate subsurface structures and locate anomalies.
